Biometrics 101
What are biometrics and how are they used?
Biometrics is the science and technology of authentication (i.e. establishing the identity of an individual) by measuring the person's physiological or behavioral features.
We specialize in biometric devices that incorporate fingerprint recognition. These biometric security devices take a user's fingerprint ridge pattern and create a binary number that represents certain points in the pattern. With this information, a users finger can be detected and used for access control.

The BioAxxis® L113 Programming Kit is a palm-sized data pad used to program the BioAxxis® L113 Series Fingerprint Door Locks. Features of this kit include:
- Easy enrollment of users
- Management of access policies
- Download and storage of all event
- Direct print outs of events
- Microsoft Excel export of event
All these features are provided in an easy to use, menu driven interface that allows for quick administration without the need for complicated codes.

- For privacy protection, all registered fingerprints are encrypted to templates that are stored in memory. The fingerprint template contains only the feature points of the fingerprint and cannot be converted back to fingerprint image
- Uses non-volatile memory for fingerprint template and events log storage
- Direct print-out of events log (FP door lock serial number ID, date, time, user number and event description)
- Operates using 2 x AA (LR6) batteries
- Auto-off after 3 minutes of non-use to conserve battery life
- USB-Serial converter (included with PC connection kit) for USB connection to PC
- Support the RS232 Serial interface and USB 1.1 or 2.0 port (For USB connection, a USB-Serial Converter is included)

The BioAxxis® L113 Biometric Lock Programming Kit must be purchased with a BioAxxis® L113 Biometric lock. Only one programming kit is required for use with multiple BioAxxis L113 locks!
